What is it: Lights ON! CANCER is excited to introduce our first cancer awareness run/walk hosted at The Good Lot of Cedar Park! We're a Texas based 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to "creating awareness and support for those affected by cancer". This event provides a way for us to continue our mission!
Why we'd like you to participate: All proceeds from our operations help fund and facilitate our mission, some of our community outreach includes:
- "Battle boxes" sent to cancer patients to help ease their trips in/out of chemo
- Gift cards to affected families which assists them with gas or food
- Donations to key entities such as Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Center to fund further work towards a cure
- Floral donations to cancer patients in oncology
- Continued awareness campaigns
What you'll receive as part of the 5K:
- Exclusive runner's T-shirt
- Bib to customize with your own decor and show who or why your running!
- Lights On Cancer sticker
- Cancer awareness silicone wrist band
- LOC Ribbon Run 5K medal once completed
Please add (1) fee to your cart for each participant. There's a standard waiver which must be signed before or during the runner's packet pick up (date TBA). We'll have printed forms ready to sign if you don't have the means or chance to print one out before you stop by.
Shirts: T-shirts are 50/50 blend of cotton and polyester, being uni-sex they run just a slight bit on the small side. If you prefer a tighter shirt, pick your normal size, if you prefer something looser, switch to the next size up. For transparency, our vendor charges extra for sizes above XL, so to ensure we can maintain our impact for the program we are simply passing through the upcharge on larger sizes which is reflected in your cart upon checkout.
